Here are a selection of my Stampin’ Up! Rhino Ready Cards. This cute Rhino Ready stamp set and Rhino Ready dies are part of a new range of products available from Stampin’ Up! You will find them in the Stampin’ Up! Online Store under the Online Exclusives label. You won’t see them in a catalogue at all. The Online Exclusives are a whole new concept in the online shopping world of Stampin’ Up! I love the idea as this allows an even larger range of products to be available to inspire you and me.
The card mat on the card above and below are created using another Online Exclusive product, the Radiating Stitches dies. They make a great added effect on the cards. What do you think? The die set has three rectangle dies and three smaller shape dies. Click on the highlighted text and see the selection in the set.

I don’t generally fall for cutesy stamp sets but there was just something about these rhino images that appealed to me. I’ve used Stampin’ Blends to colour the rhinos. These alcohol pens make it so easy to colour and blend the colours to create light and shading. I’ve used Smoky Slate on these two rhinos. the one below was done using Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends.
I coloured straight onto the Sahara Sand background and was pleased to see how the pens worked when colouring on another colour apart from Basic White. To create the background grasses I masked the rhino. Masking and stamping is always a fun technique. To see another card I created awhile back using masking click here.

I’ve used one of the dies to create the mud heaps and added some Wink of Stella to enhance them. The cloud stamps came from a retiring stamp set, Peek-a-Boo Farm. The image was stamped on Balmy blue card and fussy cut. I’m trying to use up my retiring colour card stock, so if you are wondering about the card used above, it is a Soft Suede base and Soft Succulent mat.
The Rhino Ready stamp set and dies can be ordered as a bundle which will save you 10% off the price of ordering them individually. This is a great way to save a bit of hobby money and I am pleased Stampin’ Up! offer this option.
So head on over to the Online Exclusive section of the store and see what other hidden gems you can find.
