Our 35 for 35 Creative Connections event in Ballarat featured several make and takes for everyone attending to complete during the allotted creative times. As I was busy overseeing the event with my other team organisers, I didn’t get to create the items there and then. I finally achieved completion of them all on the weekend and here they are!
Based on Rose’s presentation about using card sketches, there were two make and takes to create, one using the Gorgeously Made bundle. The other used the Textured Floral Bundle. A lovely layout using the principles of three to draw you eye to the various features.
Here is the second card from this presentation that used the Textured Floral bundle.
Here is Simone’s card for her make and take after her presentation about simple fun fold cards. This card featured the Cheerful Daisies bundle and the Fresh as a Daisy Papers.
Rebecca’s presentation focused on using embossing folders in different ways. The make and take featured embossing on window sheets. Something I would never have thought of doing! It looks very effective! The papers are from the Delightfully Eclectic pack of papers. This pack contains 48 sheets of 12 different double sided designs.
Heather presented a new card style, a unique popup card, which got everyone talking! It used the Beautiful Balloons bundle and matching Bright & Beautiful papers.
At the Leaders breakfast and session they all got to decorate these lanterns from Ikea using the Paper Florist dies. A gorgeous home decor piece to take home as a lovely reminder of our event. I thoroughly enjoyed putting my decorative lantern together.
We didn’t make these decorative magnets but I wanted to share with you as it shows off another way to use the pretty Paper Floris t dies.
The last one to share with you is this fun fold card also part of Simone’s fun fold presentation. This fun card featured the Circle Sayings stamp set and punch. The cup cake was stamped onto Bubble bath card, then fussy cut. The cupcake was stamped again on Balmy blue card and just the wrapper fussy cut out. This was adhered to the original stamped image. Very clever! The cup cake was then rounded with a bone folder to give it dimension and attached with two dimensionals to make it “pop” off the card.
Everyone attending loved the projects, plus they got a take home kit to make one of the mini albums that was the focus of my presentation. If you haven’t seen the photos of the event and all the fun we had, check out these posts.
Have I given you some ideas from our Creative Connections 35 for 35 event make and takes? I hope so!
Happy Stamping!
