Here’s how to create with Decorative Borders stamps a pretty card that also uses In Colors, die cutting and dry embossing. Parakeet Party and Tahitian Tide are the two In Colors used for my card. It is good to know there will another year to play with these lovely vibrant 2022-2024 In Colors. It’s not that long ( next month ) until we will learn what the next In 2023-2025 In Colors will be. Back to my card, I get a bit carried away by the Sale-a-bration Joining Offer as it is such a fabulous offer! If you don’t recognise the embossing folder I have used, its because it is the reverse side of the Metal Plate 3D embossing folder. I prefer this side to the main one apart from when it is run through foil card and then it looks like real metal plating.
The oval frame is die cut using the Framed Florets die set. I added some colour to the frame using a Blending Brush and Parakeet Party ink. it reduced the starkness of the white frame. The matching stamp set, Framed Florets provided the sentiment. Buy these two as a bundle and you save 10% on the individual prices. Sorry there is no die set to match the Decorative Borders stamps so fussy cutting was done to the coloured stamped image. I find fussy cutting to be a soothing past time, what about you?
To give some depth to the card the frame was lifted up on Dimensionals. If you haven’t got a pack of these little essentials in your tool kit, you do not know what you are missing out on! You will get so much use out of them so make sure you add a pack into your next Stampin’ Up! order.
