For ideas on how to use your papers I have lots of blog posts showing off ways to create lovely cards using your papers. Here’s another way to make the papers the main focus of your card. Plus using a large piece as a large size mat on your card front means not too many paper strips left over to use on another project. Especially when the paper comes from a 6×6 paper piece. The papers here come from the Tea Boutique paper pack.
The designs in this pack are very bright and vibrant so it is a shame to hide them from view under a large mat or image.
The die cut tea cup and sentiment come from the matching bundle to the Tea Boutique papers, Cup of Tea Bundle. How good does that die cut tea cup and layered design look! The little hearts are also dies in the Teacup dies. The sentiment layering dies are part of the Something Fancy die set from the current Mini Catalogue. Cardstock colours here are Sweet Sorbet and Crushed Curry.
This version using the Tea Boutique paper also has a large paper mat because the design is so pretty why would you hide it? The oval frame is out of the Fabulous Frames die set. I do like the embossing detail around the oval that the die creates. It’s always a plus to have an oval die in your collection of dies. The Thankyou stamp is from Cup of Tea stamp set. Fresh Freesia and Garden Green are the cardstock colours for this card.
When using your papers don’t be afraid to make them the star of your card. Show them off! They are too pretty to hide away when the design is as gorgeous as these are!
