How’s this! a third post in less than a week!
I thought I’d share some cards I’ve done as samples for a workshop I am doing tonight. The hostess requested to do Crayon Resist cards and as my previous samples used stamp sets from the last catalogue, I had to come up with some new ones!
As per my normal form I get so carried away with the fun of creating that I came up with 6 samples using sets from the current IB&C plus from the new Spring Mini catalogue! That’s 2 more sets I can move from my “I have to make a card using this set” pile!
The sets I have used are – Uncharted Territory, Just Beachy from the Spring Mini and Playful Petals,Simply Said, Le Jardin Botanique and Embrace Life from the Main catalogue.
I was really pleased with how quick and easy these were to make – I often make the mistake of putting too much detail into my cards. It’s always such a thrill to make cards you are pleased with!!!!!
Crayon Resist involves stamping your image with black Staz-On ink onto glossy white cardstock (Stampin’Up! of course!). Then with a white crayon outlining the areas you want to highlight. Once you are happy with the areas you have done sponge different coloured inks over the entire card using a sponge or cotton wool. Polish off with a tissue once you have covered the entire piece and admire!
Hope you like them!
