I have finally got around to creating some Christmas card samples, so thought I would post one of them here. I’ve actually made a deal with myself that while I am on leave from work I will make a new card at a minimum every day! So far so good! I have made 5 new cards this week, in between making my swaps for the upcoming Incentive Trip to Noosa next week – only5 more sleeps to go!!!!! I’m about 3/4 way through my swaps and will give you a sneak peek when they are done.
Now for this card I used Holiday Lineup which I stamped in black Staz-On on water colour card and coloured it with watercolour crayons. The card colours are Garden Green and Rose Red. The star stamp is from Seasons Of Joy. It is the hand stamped stamp in the set and I have cut off the wording and mounted that separately on the wood block so as I can use just the star as a decorative stamp. That is one of the great things about Stampin’Up! stamps – you choose how you want to mount them on your wood blocks, such flexibility is terrific! The star brads are from the the silver Hodge Podge set.
Did you know that if you outline your coloured images in a light shade of grey or sahara sand marker or ink that it “grounds” the image. It makes the image pop off the page, try it sometime you will really see the difference it makes.
If you would ever like to order any of the products I use in my blog cards you can email me with your order and I will arrange it for you.
Have a great weekend, I’m off to make some more swaps!
