This is my Christmas card for my family and relatives this year. I’m really rather pleased with it!
I’ve used Holiday Lineup and after clear embossing the stamped image I have painted bleach in the areas I wanted to white out. It is a great technique to use for the snowmen as they can often be a challenge to colour in. I added some Dazzling Diamonds to give a touch of bling.
The ribbon is from the recent Spring mini catalogue and the background is done using the So Swirly jumbo wheel. I did do others using the Soft Holly wheel which looked very effective too.
Card colours are Baja Breeze, Pacific Point and Riding Hood Red.
This is a beautiful card, Janine. I've never been happy with any of my Holiday Line Up cards, but I think I'll need to try this technique, it's a lovely effect.
Cheers,
Kylie
Thanks Kylie!
I've just stopped by to look a your blog and your makes which are brilliant and I've loved reading it (incl your incentive trip!) But what a surprize I got when I looked at your profile to find out your a Midwife like my self. I've only just become SU demonstrator in the UK. But I've been a Midwife in the UK since 1982. Co incidentially a colleague of mine came to work as I Midwife in Melbourne 18 months ago (I know you won't know her as Melbourne is a big place lol) Best wishes for 2010 – Lesley x
Hi Leslie, Thanks for dropping in to my blog. Who is your colleague? We have lots of UK midwives join us at Monash Medical Centre.
Cheers, Janine.
