The new Stampin’Up! Hydrangea Hill Designer Series papers are so gorgeous you have to make the most of them and make them the hero of your card creation!
Happy New Year! I hope 2021 is all you wish for and so much more! I finished up my work today and now have the pleasure of 14 weeks of long service leave to enjoy. My plans, to stamp, stamp, and stamp! I aim to blog more and get my Stampin’Up! business moving onwards and upwards. A good positive resolution to start off the New Year. Life has been busy in December with work and all that goes with Christmas celebrations so now it is time to create more and enjoy my love of card creating.
Getting back to these lovely papers, the Hydrangea Hill papers are going to be available in three days time when the new Mini January – June catalogue goes live. These two cards were created from a half sheet of one of the 12 pretty paper designs in this pack.
I have made an A4 and an A6 card front sized cards. So the top card is your standard A4card sheet folded in half. The second card is an A5 sheet folded in half. I made the regular size card first and when I was deciding how to get the most out of the remaining paper section I came up with the larger card idea. That way I did not waste the middle section of the paper, the lovely light blue section that was then a perfect foil for my stamped birthday greeting.
The card colours used are Misty Moonlight and Seaside Spray. The inks for the greetings are Misty Moonlight on the large card and Highland Heather on the regular card.
By making the papers the hero of your car all you need to do is add some bling or ribbon plus your greeting and your card is done! Do you like how I used the Stitched Nested dies to create a halo around the die cut greeting?
Here is the card inner of the A5 card. It is for my father in law to give our daughter for her upcoming birthday. The Family Party stamp set makes creating the right words so easy!
