Ways to use Pretty Medallion Stamp

Stampin' Up! Pretty Medallion Card

One more post about another way to use the Stampin’ Up! Pretty Medallion stamp. This time colour is applied using inkpads and blending brushes. Have you seen the three previous posts about different ways to utilise this lovely background stamp? If not then click here.

For this card I stamped the Pretty Medallion stamp onto Basic White cardstock 10 x 14.35cm using Versamark ink. This then had an application of white embossing powder applied which was heat set with a heat tool. Now comes the fun part!

Using a blending brush pick up ink from a Sweet Sorbet inkpad and apply to the centre of the Pretty Medallion heat embossed image. Keep applying ink until you are pleased with the colour depth. Now move onto applying Parakeet Party ink using new blending brush. Make the are covered in coloured ink larger than the initial application of Sweet Sorbet ink.

The final colour applied with another blending brush is Tahitian Tide. Blend Tahitian Tide across all remaining white space on the card piece. Keep building up the colour depth until the area is well saturated with colour.

Finish off your card by applying the card mat to a folded Thick Basic White card. Add ribbon if you wish, for my card I added White Glittered Organdy ribbon. Add a sentiment like this one from the Amazing Year stamp set. The greeting was die cut using the Stylish Shapes die set. If you can only select one die set, then this is the one to get! With circles, squares and two different layered banner dies all with a pretty stitched detail edging you will get your moneys worth of usage from this die set.

I will in the future have another round of creating with the Pretty Medallion stamp as I am sure there will be many more ways to create with it.

Happy Stamping!
