Tool Shed Explosion Card

Spread the love

Hi! Sorry for the lack of posts but I have been laid up with back spasms. Not a pleasant experience!!!! And I have no idea what caused it!

Any way here is one last non Christmas card for the year before I start posting my Christmas samples for you to see. This card I made for my father-in-laws recent birthday and l liked it so much I promptly made a copy of it for my carpenter son’s birthday in January ( yay prepared for a change!!!!)

It is an explosion style card as that was our class theme this month and one more sample to show in class never hurts – not sure my class ladies agree as they always say I make it too hard for them to choose which card to recreate!!!!

Here is the card front. The Tool shed stamp stamped up so well it looks like printed paper – the detail etched into Stampin’Up! stamps is amazing! I stamped it in Soft Suede ink onto Very Vanilla card. Matted it onto Riding Hood Red card, then Soft Suede DSP, Soft Suede matt and the body of the explosion card is Night of Navy. The stitched ribbon is also that colour. Don’t you love the font on the sentiment? It is from Wacky Wishes one of the hostess sets in the main catalogue. The word stamp was inked in Riding Hood Red and also sponged around the punched out image edges.

You can see the card inside design below.

I stamped images in tone on tone ink – Night of Navy from Totally Tool stamp set and I have just searched the current catalogue for it and realised it has retired! That one snuck through when I did my sorting of stamp sets, well it has now been officially removed to my retired stamp sets shelves!

Hope you like my card! See you soon with some of my Christmas cards! Keeping fingers crossed that my back muscles behave!!!
