Stepping up My Hello Beautiful card should have been done when I created it! I had the vision and didn’t do it! My son needed a card and I handed this one over to him. I forgot I had planned to do more with it. You know how it is when you are doing a load of things at once and your mind is not on what you are doing. So all I can do now is share the card in this form with you and discuss how I was planning to step it up!
I have used the Hello Beautiful bundle of stamps and dies, along with the matching papers, Abstract Beauty. Windows were cut on the Just Jade mat to revel the paper underneath. The plan then was to die cut from gold foil hexagon frames using the Beautiful Shapes dies to then frame the “windows”. This would have made a terrific stepped up version of this card.
So looks like I will have to make another version! The dies are great in this die set. Look at how the label die gets embossed at the same time as it is cut out. It adds a nice extra touch to the card.
The Abstract Beauty papers are great for this card style. They measure 4 x 6 inches so when placed on a card front there is very little wastage. These papers are only available until June 30 when the Mini Catalogue finishes. The papers are gold embossed on one side so they make a terrific addition to your cards or scrap pages.
