Here we go with some Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies card ideas for you. I had my first craft session with new Annual Catalogue products this week. It was a big decision to select what I was going to create with first from my new catalogue preorder selection. I was eventually inspired by the multi panel designs in the Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Papers. Here’s my first creation below. I decided I’d start off with something quick and easy!
The multi panel page in the Fresh as a Daisy paper pack has eleven individual panels that you can combine or use individually. The one above works perfectly for creating a quick and easy card. An Early Espresso card base and a Copper Clay card mat co ordinate with the design. Copper Clay is one of the new 2023 – 2025 In Colors. The greeting is from the co ordinating Cheerful Daisies stamp set however I went to the Timeless Arrangements dies for a rectangle die. It’s disappointing to have had the Rectangle Stitched dies retire and now as demonstrators we have to go searching for a substitute. There are three rectangle dies in the Timeless Arrangement die set so it will be well used!
If you don’t recognise the Gold Trim ribbon used for the bow, that alright. It is an Online Exclusive that comes with a Silver Trim roll of ribbon as well. To see all the Online exclusive products currently available click here.
Another idea below for another of the panels on the multi panel sheet. When creating I was keen to start trying out some of the new colours that arrived with the Colour Refresh. So this panel was a good one to use as I was able to try out Moody Mauve. It is a colour that I would not necessarily go for however it did come up well in this card. Another Online Exclusive item used here, one of the Basics 3D embossing folders.
The embossing folder used on the Garden Green mat is Fern 3D. Another fairly quick and easy layout to create. You could use any paper design and create a card layout like this. I could have kept on creating cards with these panel pieces however I had other products in the Fresh as a Daisy Suite waiting to be inked!
Plus I had seen this technique and I hadn’t done it in a very long time and I was wanting to try it out again. It’s a faux single layer card. To create you stamp your greeting. Cut a template to mask it using a sticky note or masking paper. Stamp your image. I’ve chosen the smaller of the daisy designs in the Cheerful Daisies stamp set and inked in Flirty Flamingo. Lemon Lolly was used for the daisy centre. Then with a blending brush, lightly blend ink around the card front perimeter and around the mask. Petal Pink was my selection. Remove the mask and your card is completed. A terrific optical illusion!
Here’s my final card for my session of crafting. I’ve used the Cheerful Daisies bundle and the Deckled Rectangles dies were used to die cut the Fresh as a Daisy paper mats. Another new colour used for the base card and background stamping, Azure Afternoon.
The Cheerful Daisies will be a popular set so hopefully I have given you some food for thought with my Cheerful Daisies card ideas as you make out your wish lists from the new 2023 -2024 Annual Catalogue.
Happy Stamping!
