Want a Perfectly Penciled Papers idea? Thee are so many ways to use these gorgeous new Perfectly Penciled papers from Stampin’ Up! The black and white images of course can be used just as they are but to me they scream out to be attacked with markers, pens, pencils and coloured in.
I made the card design above for my Inksationals Team New Catalogue Card Swap. Below you can see all my completed cards! Colouring in is one of my favourite past times, it is so relaxing and requires concentration which is good for the mind.
I used the new 2022-2024 In Color Stampin’ Write markers for these cards. I love how vibrant these new colours are! The leaves were all done in Parakeet Party. Then each card was coloured with either Sweet Sorbet, as in the card below.
Or Tahitian Tide.
Or Orchid Oasis.
I wasn’t happy with how the Starry Sky one turned out so I only did one of this colour!!! You have to try to find out things! It looks good but it loses the flower detail.
To finish off each card I added a matching colour card strip under each paper piece, than a black card strip and added it to a Thick White card base. The sentiment from Botanical Layers was stamped in the matching colour ink for each card.
All my swaps are now in the mail and over the next few posts I will share the swaps I receive from my team members. I can see these papers being extremely popular with colouring in enthusiasts. However for a quick and easy card in neutral tones these papers will be a terrific option. Hope you enjoy trying out this Perfectly Penciled Paper idea.
