The Sunday Creative Connections 35 for 35 event commenced with a Leaders breakfast and session. We recognised our Silver and Above Leaders at this session. The tables looked terrific all set up with the Leaders project bags and gifts.
Jill gave a well received talk on influence. We had to think about someone who had influenced us either to perform better, aspire to be like them or acknowledge we did not want to be like them. This led onto how we influence our teams by our behaviour. Her closing was very touching and had many of us reaching for a tissue.
Then it was onto the Leaders make & take project. A beautiful lantern decrated with the Paper Florist dies. The project was designed by Pam and was an absolute winner!
Emma and Pam took part in the session too. I hope their lanterns travelled home okay on their flights!
Sundays general session had a Q&A session with Jill and Emma. Pam then presented some amazing ways to use the Paper Florist Dies. Look at her awesome Christmas tree below! This was followed on by a presentation by Cheryl on how to create interesting backgrounds n neutral 12×12 papers for scrapbooking or cardmaking. Heather then did a make & Take presentation on ways to create with the Beautiful Balloons bundle.
We finally managed an Event Team photo with Emma and Jill before the general session began.
Sadly all good things must come to an end and just like that our Creative Connections drew to a close. We presented Jill and Emma a gift each as a thank you for coming great distances to join us and for all their assistance in making our event fabulous! We found these wonderful wool knitted scarves from Otto & Spike featuring iconic Melbourne landmarks like Flinders Street Station, the Arts Centre Spire and Luna Park.
Then we presented thank you gifts to our team leaders for their tremendous assistance over the past few months and during the event. Then we had a major surprise! We were presented with a thankyou gift each for organising Creative Connections. When I got home and peeked inside , we had a beautiful hamper of goodies to sit back and relax and enjoy!
A final thank you team picture on stage as everyone congratulated us on a wonderful event.
One last aspect of the event had to take place before we could end. That was Jill’s Facebook Live to the Stampin’ Up! world telling them all about the event she was attending in Ballarat, Victoria, Australia. You can see the video by clicking here. We did something no other event had done, we sang Happy Anniversary to Stampin’ Up!
Then a group photo of all our attendees was taken!
Time then to say goodbye and save the memories made over the weekend. A huge thank you to everyone who attended and to our team leaders for their fantastic efforts that made our 35 for 35 event a wonderful success.
