I love Stampin’Up! Designer Series papers and buy them all however I am often stumped by the 6×6 size papers. The reason? Once you cut one sheet up for a card front you are left with a skinny leftover pieces and I feel it is such a waste. I am always happy to find a way to get the most out of my pretty papers and I hit the perfect solution with these notecards.

The Flowers for Every Season 6×6 papers are so divine that to waste any of them is terrible, so I came up with this solution. I cut each 6×6 sheet into 3×3 inch pieces and mounted them onto Basic Black 3 1/8 x 3 1/8 inch mats and then adhered them onto Stampin’Up! notecards. A whole batch of thankyou cards done very quickly and easily. My favourite type of project!

These papers are just so pretty! They are part of a lovely suite of products by the same title and the colours used are all the 2020 – 2022 In Colours. I can see these papers and the coordinating stamps, dies and pinch being very popular.
I hope my idea helps you feel not so wasteful when it comes to cutting up your pretty papers. They can’t sit in your paper stash forever!
Cheers!
I just saw your post. In fact,, I just did the same thing with a 12 x 12 sheet. The pattern was a watercolor look. I stamped a variety of black designs on them and mounted with black cardstock. You can see some on my blog August 6th.
Thanks for this simple idea! The cards are lovely.
Thanks Eileen! It is a great way to use your 6×6 papers with no wastage.
