This card featuring the Loyal Leaves stamp set by Stampin’Up! means so much to me. I made this card to give to a work colleague when I made the decision to retire earlier this year. Just looking at the card image and remembering that momentous decision and handing in my resignation still beings tears to my eyes.
The card itself is a simple in itself however the memories it invokes in me are huge. Do you have cards you have made that when you see a picture of it again the memories come flooding back? This card will remain in my photo library for that reason and I will always remember that day and giving the card to the recipient and their reaction.
That is the beauty of creating hand made cards. You make them with love and appreciation for the person you are making the card for.
I’m sad to see the Loyal Leaves stamp set retiring from the Annual Catalogue and not carrying over into the next version. If you like the idea of a stamp set you can use to create lovely backgrounds or to go further and colour the leaves all shades of autumn then I would order it now before it disappears on May 3 for good. Inventory is low here in Australia so you had better get a move on and add it to your stash! The sentiments in the set are lovely too.
Very happy to say the Stitched Rectangle dies are carrying over. I use them so much!
