Here is a sneak peek of one of the cards I’ve made for my poster display for Paperific this weekend. I wanted to show off some of the new Double Sided papers from the new catalogue. The technique I’ve used here is known as Jenny’s Coat. It is a similar idea to Joseph’s Coat but instead uses patterned paper as the background to be stamped and embossed over.
You stamp your image in Versamark on the paper and emboss with clear embossing powder, then brayer over the image and paper in dye ink of your choice – I’ve used Chocolate Chip here. Once you have done that, using a tissue wipe off the excess ink from the image as the embossing resists the ink and voila you have your finished image!
I made this one pretty simple as wanting to show off the paper – Greenhouse Gala. The yellow hue in this paper is the new colour Daffodil Delight.
Items used to create this are – Medallion stamp, Chocolate Chip inkpad, Versamark ink, clear embossing powder, heat gun, brayer, Greenhouse Gala DSP, So Saffron card and Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon (had to use it one more time before switching to Early Espresso in the new colour renovation!).
