Here’s Some More Building Block Cards!

Spread the love
In an earlier post I showed you a journal cover created at my downline Simone Bartrum’s team day. Simone asked me to give a “Workshop Wow” presentation at the day and requested that I show the attending team demonstrators how to create a Building Block Card. I had sent Simone two recently – one for when she was recovering from an operation and one for Christmas, as a result she was eager to find out how to create them!

The Valentines Day card in my last post was one of the sample cards I created for the Team Day and now I am delighted to show you my other creations!

Sorry about the angle! They are not the easiest cards to photograph! This card shows off the lovely Sale-a-bration stamp set – Lotus Blossom. The Designer Series paper is also a Sale-a-bration item – Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper. The sentiments came from the set Crazy About You. Below is a closer look at this pretty stamp.

Now for my next sample!

This card show off the Occasions catalogue stamp set – Balloon Bash and the co-ordinating Speciality Designer Series paper – Birthday Bash. Some of those balloons are gold embossed on the paper – very cute! The words are from the set – Hooray It’s Your Day. I used that tip I shared in my last post – the Ticket Duo punch to punch out the greetings.

I really love this final sample! I CASE’d the front panel, with a few subtle changes, from the Occasions Catalogue where it features on a journal front cover.

Here is the card viewed from a different angle.
And a final pic to show the pop out detail.
I have traded using patterned papers for embossed card. I used the Spring Flowers embossing folder. You can find it in the Occasions catalogue. I thought the use of the Sahara Sand Lace trim was a rather inspired move to go behind the butterflies! Adds some elegance to the card! The butterfly stamp and others used on this card came from the set – Butterfly Basics, except for the birthday greeting which came from the set Wetlands.
I hope you like the cards I made for my pesentation. If you would like to come along to one of our team days, all you have to do is become a demonstrator in my Inksationals team or Simone’s Eureka Stampers team. Contact either of us if you would like to know more about becoming part of Stampin’Up!
Cheers!
Janine
