Stampin Up! Floating Strip Technique Card

Stampin' Up! Floating Strip card

Heres just one of the choices of Stampin’ Up! Floating Strip cards my class attendees will be creating in class today and tomorrow. I am so excited to be taking another step back to “normality” after two years of lockdowns and no face to face contact with my customers.

Starting off small, just a couple of customers at each class as people get comfortable coming to someone else’s home again. I have separate supplies and machines for everyone, an air purifier running and enough room to put everyone well placed apart.

Ready for classes!

I held my first class last night and it was great to have a test run to see what I had forgotten to put out as part of the class setup after not doing it for two years! My class shelf needed to be uncovered from the items I’d stashed on there over the last couple of years!!!!

The Floating Strip card technique is so much fun and my samples were greatly admired and recreated last night. For those not able to make class this month I am creating kits for them and they will be mailed out next week.

I’ve used a retiring die for this card from the Hippo & Friends set. It’s now listed on the Last Chance Sale site so will only be available until supply runs out or the sale end on May 2. This is a superb set of dies as it has three graduated dies for three different shapes. This makes it a fabulous resource for layering images and features on your cards or scrapbook pages.

The papers used are from Abstract Beauty. These papers are 4 x 6 inches in size and are perfect for card fronts. They are gold embossed so make a bold statement on your card or page. The die cut sprigs are part of the Sunflower die set, which I am happy to say is carrying over into the next Annual Catalogue!

It is exciting to be taking this step back to running classes again. Melbourne having been the longest lockdown city in the world is slowly returning to normal. Yes the virus is still out there we just need to abide by the rules we are all familiar with for avoiding picking it up!
