I’m off to Stampin’Up! Regionals tomorrow so thought I’d better do a post now. Regionals are great fun and we will be receiving a surprise new stamp set from the Summer Mini catalogue to be released in December. All very exciting!!!!
These cards are from another of my technique classes. It is Faux Silk and again it is very easy to do!
First off stamp your image in Staz On ink onto tissue paper. I used the type you buy to wrap your pressies. Colour in the images using a blender pen and inks or markers. Or the other option as in the butterfly card is to stamp solid images over the tissue paper. Next is the fun bit! Scrunch up your tissue paper into a soft ball then smooth it out but not completely! Apply Glue Stick all over a piece of Whisper White card cut to the size you require for your finished project and place your stamped piece of tissue over this and firm down. Smooth out most of the wrinkles but not all as that is part of the effect. Trim off the excess tissue paper and finish off your card.
The one with the bamboo leaves is one I CASED from Splitcoast Stampers tutorial for this technique. Just made a few teeny changes. Stamp set is Embrace Life, word is from Lovely Labels set.
The Pretty in Pink card also uses Embrace Life – such a gorgeous stamp set!!! Words are from Dreams Du Jour. And the butterfly card uses Great Friend from the Spring Mini catalogue stamped in Tangerine Tango and Kiwi Kiss.
Thanks for looking! Must go and pack my swaps for tomorrow!
Beautiful cards Janine
