Embossed Embossing Using Fluttering Embossing Folder

Spread the love
This months classes focused on background techniques and one of the techniques I taught was Embossed Embossing. I made several sample cards and today I want to share with you the two samples I made using the Flutter embossing folder. Butterflies are always popular and to have them in a design on an embossing folder is awesome! Everyone loves butterflies!

Do you like my samples?

So what is embossed embossing? First off you place your cardstock inside an embossing folder, run it through a Big Shot then rub over the embossed card with an embossing buddy. Then with a brayer inked with Versamark gently roll over the raised embossed areas, pour over embossing powder, tap off excess and heat emboss.

Simple technique for a stunning result.

The first sample is heat embossed using Cherry Cobbler embossing powder. The second card is heat embossed with gold embossing powder. Both cards feel very luxurious! The embossing becomes the highlight of the card and so very little else needs to be added to finish the cards. Agree?

I’ve got one more sample to share and I will do that tomorrow.

Cheers

Janine
