What do I mean by saying challenge yourself to step it up? Stepping it up means creating a simple version of a card then creating a more elaborate version of the same card. So I decided to challenge myself to do this using the Art Gallery Bundle.
Above is my simple version. Stamped image in Mossy Meadow, Real Red and Cherry Cobbler on Basic White card, add greeting, mount on Real Red mat and add to a folded Mossy Meadow base card. Add some rhinestones for some bling.
To step up the original card I did the following. The flower image was stamped on Shimmery White card using the same colour inks and then die cut using the Floral Gallery dies from the Art Gallery bundle. The Basic White mat was embossed with the Greenery embossing folder and mounted on to the Real Red mat. Dimensionals were added to the back of this mat to adhere it to the Mossy Meadow base card.
The die cut pieces were added to the Basic White mat with the flower being raised up using Dimensionals. The greeting was also die cut using the same die set and also raised up with Dimensionals. A linen thread bow was tied around the stalk before it was added to the card front. Rhinestones finish it off.
Now I could have challenged myself to go further and create a further stepped up card however other creations needed to be made. To step this card up further I would add some gold leafing to the floral image. What would you add to take this up another step?
Happy Stamping!
