I have had a lovely day creating cards for my Catalogue Launch tomorrow. I’ve also had fun trying out lots of new products that have arrived this week in my new catalogue order. So many things to play with!
I tried out embossing folders, new stamp sets, In Colour inks and card, framelits and the new Core’dinations card stock. I do love a good play day!
Here is my card using the Core’dinations card in Cherry Cobbler.
With this style of cardstock you sand over it to take off the top colour layer to reveal the inner core colour. Of course Stampin’Up! have everything in the range you will need to create lovely cards using Core’dinations.
Here I have embossed the Cherry Cobbler Core’dinations with Lacy Brocade embossing folder, then sanded over the raised image to create the distressed effect. The Christmas trees and stars were punched out of the Early Espresso card using the Merry Minis punches and behind the punched out images I layered Champagne glimmer paper.
I couldn’t decide whether to add a greeting. I quite like the understated elegance of my Christmas card.
Here is one of the make and take cards my customers will be making tomorrow. I love this new stamp set Papillion Potpourri, mind you I always love a butterfly stamp!
If you want a quick single layer card then this is it! I’ve used some of the new In Colour inks here – Raspberry ripple, Primrose Petals and Summer Starfruit. I’ve stamped the images onto Naturals White card which is new in the 2013 catalogue – have to say “I like!”
Thanks for looking!
