I created a black & white is alright challenge in a demonstrator group I belong to and this was the card l created as my entry. Cards don’t have to always be full of colour, monochromatic looks just as great. I feel we forget this at times. I’ve based my card around the Perfectly Pencilled Designer Series Papers.
Looking at my card I have just realised this is the same paper design I used on the card in my last post and the cards look so different, so there you go, it shows how dramatic a black and white can be! See my previous post here.
Look in your stash for coordinating black and white embellishments like ribbon or brads. Silver rhinestones work in well too. The ribbon I used is from the current Annual Catalogue – Black & White Gingham.
Do you like the new punch? The Best Label punch is designed to coordinate with the Alphabet stamp set. You can order these individually or save 10% and order as the Alphabet Bundle. I created a shadow behind each letter by punching out a separate black piece, cutting it half crossways and then secured each half poking out from behind each white letter. A great way to add depth to your cards.
Have I convinced you about ordering the Perfectly Pencilled Designer Series Paper yet? I love the designs in the pack and if you adore colouring in, you will love this paper pack for that aspect alone! Also give yourself a challenge, create your own black & white is alright card.
Don’t forget about Sale-a-bration currently running. I have added the catalogue to the side bar for your convenince.
Happy Stamping!
