Carousel Notes

Spread the love

I thought I would show you a novel way to use the Carousel Notes which are one of the new items available in the Summer Mini catalogue. I actually CASE’d this idea from Splitcoast Stampers – thankyou to the talented stamper who came up with this idea! ( You’ll find the link to Splitcoast Stampers under my list of websites I Can’t Survive Without!). Always have a lot of time up your sleeve when you go into this site – you will become totally absorbed and amazed by the creations and resources there.
Anyway I digress, back to the card! What I have done is cut one Carousel Note in half – in this case a Soft Sky one and then I cut in along the indentations to create petals. The white centre is a scallop punch piece of Whisper White card with a circle punch piece of So Saffron stamped with one of the flower centres from Pick A Petal. All of this was mounted on a White Confetti folded card that has been stamped with Polka Dot background using Versamark ink. To create dimension the petals are randomly lifted off the card by sticking them down with Stampin’Dimensionals.
I placed twill tape along the side and the wording is actually done using Rub Ons from the Urban West set ( page 141 of the I&R book) of rub ons. I’ve not been a big fan of rub ons in the past but since I bought some of Stampin’Up’s product I am in love with them!!!!! As you can see they have adhered beautifully to the twill tape.
This was such a quick and easy card to make and would make anyone feel special to receive it.
Hope is all good in your world and please spare a thought for the many families affected by the terrible bushfires here in Victoria.
