Here are a couple of the cards I did for one of my Paperific Show posters. We had to do a theme for each poster so for one of mine I made a whole range of No-Cut cards. They get their name from the fact that there is no cutting involved in putting the actual card together! I love doing these cards when I need a card in a hurry. I first saw them on Marelle Taylor’s webpage a long time ago. You can see Marelle’s lovely blog at this address –www.marelletaylor.blogspot.com . I do love her work and style of stamping.
These cards are very quick and easy to do – I made 15 for my poster and it was amazing how many different combinations I came up with using my stamp sets. I also had lots of fun coming up with slight variations on the same theme by changing where to put the greeting or how I tied the ribbon. I must say it was one of my most productive sessions ever!
For the two on show here I used Seaside and stamped them in More Mustard, Sahara Sand and Close to Cocoa on Confetti White card cut to A6 size. For the other card I used Fifth Avenue Floral stamped in Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red and Tangerine Tango. To put the cards together you tear off the front of a folded A5 card and slide your stamped A6 piece under the flap created and adhere it in positon. I like to stick the ribbon in place and stamp the greeting before I tear off the flap.
Hope you have some fun coming up with your own No-cut cards!
Was the no-cut display yours? I was admiring it during a quiet moment this afternoon … they all looked gorgeous, all similar but very individual. Loved it! Catch ya
