It’s a new month and we have a new Product of the Month to share with you. This month it is the Shining Stars die set. An awesome set of dies available for just $9 with a $125 Stampin’ Up! order in October. You will need to be quick as it is for sure going to sell out quickly, it is such amazing value!
I had limited time to create as we have been busy setting up our home for my Stampin’ Up! Clearance Sale. I had 19 plus years of retired stock to sell so it took a lot of time and effort to get it all out of storage and set up for selling!
My card is an easy design, which is what we need when creating Christmas cards! Adding a background paper creates the interest to make the card special.
The paper is from the Neutral Noel specialty paper pack. So a bright bold statement behind the star die cuts. These dies layer up beautifully and there are multiples of several of the dies so you can make one run through on your machine and cut all you require in one go.
The trick to this card design is to find a stamp set that has words that will fit into the star shape die you have selected! I found my greeting in the Festive Cheer stamp set.
A quick tip for you, when you die cut using some of the Product of the Month dies or any other dies, they can leave an impression on the die cut piece of card. Get your bone folder and smooth the unwanted impression out before adhering to your project.
