This week I am sharing some card ideas for the Layering Leaves stamp set and matching punch. The Bough punch was released last year, the great news is there is now a coordinating stamp set to use the punch with. And a very nice stamp set it is too!
The card above was created as part of a mystery stamping project I took part in. It is a good layout as it can be recreated in so many ways. Card and ink colours used are Mossy Meadow, Real Red and Pecan Pie. I seem to grab and use my pack of Basics 3D embossing folders all the time. I love them! My other go to item is the Stylish Shapes dies, used to die cut the circle.
To stamp the flowers I use markers to ink the stamp so you get the green stems and the red roses. This method is a good one to use when you don’t have an inkpad in the colour you need but you have markers in the required colour.
Did you notice the vellum punched out leaves at the back of the posy? Popping in some vellum adds extra interest to your card creation.
Here’s a different idea for you!
Stamp the leaves and colour with Stampin’ Write markers . The leaves were stamped in Pretty Peacock and the marker colour is Lost Lagoon. Always stamp before punching out. Adding in the gold layer of Distressed Gold paper and the gold sequins adds a bit of elegance to the card. What do you think?
Do you like the font for the greeting? The Layering Leaves stamps have several versatile greetings in the set.
A stamp set that has a random dotty stamp is always a winner for me as these stamps are great for adding extra interest to a card.
