Create with Desert Details

You can create beautiful cards with the Desert Details bundle of stamps and dies. Match the bundle with the pretty coordinating Delicate Details Designer Series Papers and you can not go wrong. Think warm, hot desert colours and you are on your way to making a card that invokes all the feel of the heat and desert.

Look at the detail on the die cut frames. Stampin’ Up! has done an amazing job creating these die designs. Look how those two frames complement each other. The frames were cut from Cajun Craze and Merry Merlot. There has been no layering with the frames or middle section yet when I look at this card I get a perception of depth. I think it is the combination of light, dark, light that gives that appearance. Do you see it?

The cactus flowers were stamped on Pale Papaya card using Calypso Coral ink. Don’t think you always have to stamp your images onto white or vanilla card. Take on a challenge and try stamping on coloured cardstock.

The Delicate Desert papers are not metallic. It is the base colour of Grey Granite giving that appearance. Now I didn’t do it with this card but if you are keen to save paper, you could cut that central paper piece from the middle of the backing paper. No one will know as that whole area is hidden from view!

An easy card to create if you have a Stampin’ Up! Cut & Emboss machine. Die cut, stamp, die cut and adhere everything in place. Stamping the greeting directly onto the paper in the frame saves time and stops distraction form the overall card appearance by not having a stark greeting label covering up the die cuts and papers. To finish I added a few 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds. That lovely Happy birthday stamp comes form a very versatile greeting set, Best Family Ever. Go ahead and have a good look at this bundle and papers and create with Desert Details. You will have a lot of fun!
