Well here we go with some festive season creativity! Folk style Christmas trees seem to be the “in” thing this year in card making judging by what I have seen on Pinterest.
I got the inspiration for this card design from Linda Heller at her site Stampin’School, Linda had made a smaller notecard version and I expanded it into a larger design. You can find out more about Stampin’School here.
The papers came from the cute Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Stack in the Holiday mini catalogue. There are some lovely paper designs in this paper stack and such a versatile size for card creating. The paper was cut as a 4 x 2.5 inch rectangle and then trimmed into the triangle shape.
The blue tree had silver Dazzling Details added to it as extra bling. The stars were punched out of Glimmer paper using the star punch from the Merry Minis punch set.
To add a bit more detail to the card I stamped the lower card piece with one of the stamps from the Confetti stamp set. The sentiment came from Joyous Celebrations.
I hope you are having fun coming up your card design for 2013! I’ll be back with more in a day or two – see you then!
