If you visit here frequently you will by now realise that once I start making a style of card or learn a new technique I love I tend to go besserk and do several more cards using that style or technique! Well I haven’t changed! Here are some variations of the tri-shutter card that I will be teaching in this months class. This one I have made for Mother’s Day using the stamp set A Rose is a Rose. This set is the very first one I ordered from the current catalogue in April last year and I have finally got around to using it!!!!! I love rose stamps but I obviously have way too many stamps if it has taken me a year to get around to trying this one out!
The double sided paper is Bella Rosa, card is Kiwi Kiss and Whisper White.
Ribbon is Riding Hood Red taffeta and Kiwi Kiss satin. Other stamp sets used were Fresh Cuts, Teeny Tiny Sentiments from the new mini catalogue and Short Order Alphabet.
For my husband’s recent birthday I made this one! The inspiration was the lovely new double sided papers in the new Autumn mini catalogue – Autumn Traditions.
One of the great things about Stampin’Up! is how everything colour co-ordinates and in the catalogues it tells you which colours were used in the double sided papers so as you can get right on with your project without wasting time trying to match colours!
Cardstock used was Always Artichoke and Very Vanilla. Stamp sets are Autumn Days, Wild West Alphabet (stamped in the new In Colour Soft Suede), On Your Birthday and the hostess set Best Yet.
I still have a couple more on the go. I had to do another copy of the original one I posted on here a couple of weeks ago to show everyone in class as I had given it away! The other one I am making uses the other new DSP in the mini catalogue – Cottage Wall.
