How to Assemble Daffodil Dies

Stampin' Up! Daffodil Dies card

Wondering how to assemble the Daffodil Dies? One look at the sheet of dies in the pack will have you scratching your head wondering which piece goes with which. The die set creates two different daffodils plus a daffodil bud, so on that sheet there are a lot of dies!

Fortunately Stampin’ Up! came to our rescue and posted a pictorial showing exactly which die goes with which and how many die cuts are needed to create each daffodil. They even give identical dies so you can cut multiples at the same time. All those duplicate dies make the sheet look packed!

Now doesn’t that make it so much easier! It certainly saved my sanity as I made up the daffodils for my daughter’s wedding anniversary card.

Assembling the flower takes patience and a steady hand but the result is well worth the effort. How fabulous do those daffodils look? And so realistic! Colours of card I used were Daffodil Delight and Bumblebee for the flowers and Old Olive for the leaves and stems.

I wanted to use the full length of the die cut rather than cut off the stems, so I created a slim line card. The paper backing behind the daffodils is from the Sale-a-bration paper pack Daffodil Afternoon. I hope you got your pack while Sale-a-bration was running.

The greeting is from a Mini Catalogue stamp set – Celebrating You. A great set that covers all the occasions, apart from Christmas that you will cover with your card making throughout the year. We all have heaps of Christmas stamp sets so I think we are well covered in that regard!

Like the die used to die cut the greeting. I love how it embosses as well as die cutting. It’s part of the Beautiful Shapes die set. For extra interest I added a couple of swirls of Gold Simply Elegant Trim.

So take a closer look at the Daffodil dies now I have let you know how simple that actually are to assemble. Have fun!

Happy Crafting!
