Stampin'Up! Count On Me Valentine's Day Card

You either give Valentine’s Day cards or you don’t. There’s no maybe’s about it. If having to get a stamp set that you see as purely a Valentine’s Day set is the reason you don’t make and give Valentine’s cards, then how about having a look at your current sets and repurposing? If you purchase your stamp sets with a set number of criteria in mind each time you buy one you will find you can always have a stamp set to cover every single occasion.

So for my card today I have used the Stampin’ Up! Count On Me set. The images lend themselves perfectly to a Valentine’s Day card. The card above features the lovely bear image which I coloured in using the new range of Stampin’ Blends that were released this month. The colour was a bit too dark to see the bear’s eye so I added a touch of Colour Lifter to lighten that area. Worked perfectly! The photo below shows the before image.

Add in a sentiment form the Count On Me stamp set and you will probably find a Valentine’s Day line greeting in a greetings set you have. There you have it a Valentine’s Day card with out having to add a set with hearts and other images you will probably never use.

From the same stamp set here are the cuddling koalas done as a Valentine’s card.

The koalas were coloured in using white craft ink and a blending pen. Adding the heart punch shapes added the necessary touch to make the occasion right. Both of these cards were done using white notecards so they are smaller than your standard card size. They are the perfect size to use with these images.
