Stamping on Stampin’ Up! cork paper is one of those experimental activities that you won’t know whether it works until you try it!
for the card here I could have left the cork paper panel plain however stamping the dragonfly images onto it lifted the whole card and makes for a much more satisfying result. I used Early Espresso ink to stamp the images from the Celebrate with Flowers stamp set.
The pretty Misty Moonlight papers are part of the Harvest Meadow pack of papers. Blue and brown tones always look so good together, so I went with Soft Suede for the card mats. The sentiment came from the Queen Anne’s Lace set. I get so much use out of the Double Oval punch. For me it is a must have in my collection of punches.
Do you like how I did the thread across the card? See the single strands behind the card? That is the normal thickness and when I ran that across the card front it was totally lost. So I cut three equal lengths and twisted them together to get a thicker rope of thread. doing this added better texture, it also added more colour and silver highlights from the bits in the thread itself.
Don’t be afraid to experiment. You won’t know if something will work unless you give it a try.
Happy Stamping!
Janine
