Designing cards with the Waves of the Ocean papers is a delight as these papers are spectacular to work with. Being a general abstract design makes them versatile to create your cards or scrapbook pages with them. Especially if you are thinking of creating a card using a water theme. These papers were actually created by spreading and marbling paint onto canvases. See the process here.
I’ve got three cards to share with you today as I want you to see how lovely these Waves of the Ocean papers are and also to let you know they are only available for a couple more days. They will no longer be available after midnight May 2.
The card above uses the paper as a background to give a watery feel to compliment the stamped and punched image from Let’s Set Sail bundle. The banner die is from Waves Dies which compliment the Waves of the Ocean papers. The rhinestones are also part of the collection and these too will no longer be available after May 2.
My next card is a simple design to create a quick card that shows off the lovely colours in the Waves of the Ocean papers. I love how well Pacific Point and Granny Apple Green look so great together.
I’ve used the same die for the sentiment. this sentiment is from the Waves of Inspiration stamp set, also part of this collection. The stamp set and dies carry over into the new Annual Catalogue, just not the papers, rhinestones and Blue Foils which you can see on the next card below. The foils are a gorgeous dark, light blue and silver. See them here.
The card below uses the papers for impact and just needed the sentiment to finish it. I used retiring dies, Stitched So Sweetly to get the lovely layered effect. The sentiment is also retiring, it’s from Sunny Sentiments. Both these retiring products, like the papers are only available until the end of May 2.
My recent Class in a Kit featured a Multi Diamond Panel card using the Waves of the Ocean papers.
So some last minute shopping might be required if you like want to get these products before they are gone for good! Here’s the link to my store to help you out! You can see other posts using these papers here.
Have fun creating and designing with the Waves of the Ocean papers!
Happy Crafting!
