Tri-shutter Card

Spread the love

One of my close stamping buddies recently had a major birthday so to mark the occasion I made her a very special card – a tri-shutter card.

I’ve seen so many lovely versions of this card on many of the blogs out there and have always wanted to try one so Jan’s birthday was the ideal opportunity!

It was a fun card to make because you can go through your stash of goodies and start adding embellishments where ever you want them! Again it is a great example of how well everything in the Stampin’Up! range co-ordinate so beautifully together.

I enjoyed making this card so much that I have decided to teach this technique at my monthly card class in April!

Cardstock used to create this card was Night of Navy, Bordering Blue and Very Vanilla.
Double sided paper is from Bella Bleu.
Ink is Brocade Blue.
On Board Timeless Type was used for the numbers and letters.
Stamps used are Frames with a Flourish, Bella’s Bloom and Simple Serif Alphabet.

Embellishments are from Pretties kit,
Very Vanilla taffeta ribbon, Build-a-Brad, and Eyelet Border punch.

I can’t wait to try making some more of this style of card to show at my next class!
