One of my favourite cards from my embossing paste class last month was this pretty card. For this card I actually heat embossed the embossing paste. For this particular card I used silver embossing powder.
When heat embossing on embossing paste the best results come from allowing the paste to dry for a few hours ( if it is a very warm day ) or overnight. If you heat set it while the paste is fresh you will find the paste goes all bubbly as the moisture in the paste expands into steam.
I love the effect created of the silver brick wall and the trellis effect of the Swirly Scribble diecut piece “growing” up the wall. The addition of the small flowers from the Swirly Bird stamp set finished the whole card off beautifully.
The background folded card and matt are Smoky Slate although it looks off white in the photos. The diecut vine is Soft Suede and the flowers were stamped in Berry Bliss and Old Olive inks.
The sentiment comes from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous photopolymer stamp set. this has become my go to stamp set when I want a birthday greeting, it gives you so many great options for greetings and in two sizes.
Thanks for checking out my new look blog!
Cheers
Janine
Would I be able to buy the swirly scribbles die set? I really like them.
Hi Rebecca, This die set retired quite some time ago. You would need to look for it on retired Stampin’Up! FB groups and see if any one is willing to sell theirs to you. What country are you in? If you are in Australia I can help you out. It is a great stamp and die bundle.Good luck with finding it.
