Stampin’ Up! Spotlight on Nature

Spread the love

The lovely Stampin’ Up! Spotlight on Nature bundle is a joy to create with! To make these cards sparkle I coloured one of them using a Wink of Stella Glitter pen. A fun way to colour and glimmer at the same time.

Stampin' Up! Spotlight On Nature

To colour this way, add reinker to your ink pad lid or onto a stamping block and pick up the colour ink with the Wink of Stella brush pen and colour in your stamped image. Keep adding ink to build up depth of colour. To change colours, swipe the Wink of Stella pen across scrap paper until the brush paints clearly, then move onto the next colour you wish to use.

The card above utilised one of the card sketches on page 22 of the Annual Catalogue. A great new resource in this years catalogue. If you are in Australia and would like a copy of the catalogue please send me an email requesting one.

The images in the Stampin’ Up! Spotlight on Nature stamp set are lovely to colour in. Not too intricate, they don’t require lots of different colours. The matching Spotlight on Nature dies are perfect for highlighting the butterfly image from the stamp set.

Stampin' Up! Spotlight On Nature

The 12 circle dies of varying diameters in the Spotlight on Nature die set all have a decorative edge to add extra interest to your creations. The circle sizes all compliment each other and are perfect for layering.

Layer the circles symmetrically as above, or asymmetrically as in the card below. Have fun matching colours to create your layouts.

    1. Hi Linda! the die is the largest circle from the Spotlight on Nature circle dies. There are two sets of circle dies in this die set and the two largest ones have a different edging. I’ve used the one with the “lines” edging for that Petunia Pop circle. I hope that helps answer your question.
Thanks for checking out my creations.

      1. Hi Alice,
        Thank you for your comment.
I started with the largest Spotlight on Nature circle die and then moved down a size for each smaller circle.
The circles have different edge patterns but essentially are you have six circle sizes repeated twice to give you 12 circle dies with one of three edge patterns on them.
My card features the four circle sizes going down in size from largest to smaller. I didn’t use the two smallest circles.
        Hope that helps you.
        Cheers,
        Janine

    1. Hi Debbie, thanks for getting in touch.
The card stock is Wild Wheat for card base and mat, then working from large to small it is Crushed Curry, Daffodil Delight and Lemon Lolly.
