Stampin’ Up! Picture This dies come in a circle combination and a rectangle combination. My first card made with these dies uses the circle combination. I have combined the dies with the Peekaboo Farm stamp set and the Enjoy The Moment stamp set.
When I cut out the Cork Specialty paper I was immediately thinking how am I going to use these circles and not waste them. I needed a background for my planned images from Peekaboo Farm so I die cut the Balmy Blue panel to get the matching circle die cuts to sit in my “windows”.
Raising the cork paper layer created the depth I needed for the windows so my stamped images could peek out of their window. The images were coloured using Stampin’ Write markers. Stamping just the hooves again and fussy cut them to have them hanging out of the window.
The cork circles were no way going to be wasted! I stamped images from the Enjoy The Moment set using Early Espresso ink then slotted the stamped circles into the Balmy Blue die cut piece that was used for the Peekaboo Farm card. This die cut piece had been adhered to a Balmy Blue card base that had background stamping done around the card edges using a stamp from the Nature’s Harvest set. The card was finished off with Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots.
It’s easy to miss the Picture This die combination as they are not linked to any stamp sets and appear in the back of the Annual Catalogue listed in the dies section. Start thinking of ways you could use this die set, I am sure you can come up with a load of ideas!
