One of the dies in the lovely Scalloped Contour die set from Stampin’Up! when die cut creates slits around the edge of the die cut piece. You could leave it as decorative feature or you can get creative and thread ribbon, card or papers through them.

As you can see from close up photo above I have threaded white seam binding ribbon from under the die to run across the die cut label and then threaded it through the opposite slit and caught the end under the die with mini glue dots. I repeated the feature in the next section of die cut slits. You could get really carried away and do all sorts of fancy weaves, for this card I kept it simple.

I stamped my greeting ( from Flowers of Friendship stamp set ) on the smallest rectangular die in this set and layered it over the ribbon threaded die cut. It adds a bit of something different to the card. What do you think? I love the paper which is one of the designs from the Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper pack. All up a quick and easy card to create, hope it gives you some new ideas!

Happy Stamping!
