My lovely granddaughter turned four yesterday and this is her fourth birthday card. She adores naming animals especially after a recent visit to Melbourne Zoo, so this stamp set Stampin’Up! From All Of Us was a perfect choice for her card.

I stamped the image on Shimmery White card. I am using this more and more for my cards rather than Basic White card as it gives a lovely look and feel to the finished card. The image was stamped with Memento black ink and coloured in using Stampin’Blends. Some fussy cutting and then when attaching the cut out piece to the card front I raised it up by using Dimensionals.

The embossed background was created using the Bricks & Mortar 3D embossing folder. Adding a strip of Cinnamon Cider 6×6 paper to match the background mat was enough to break up the background and add interest.

My granddaughter of course was delighted with her card and it was added to her bedroom shelf where she displays all the cards I have made for her.

I enjoyed colouring in this image, as I didn’t bother with adding shading or highlights. For a fourth birthday card, my granddaughter wasn’t going to get picky! Might be a different story in 10 years time!!!!

Happy stamping!

Janine
