Flowers for Every Season DSP make the most of your pretty papers card

I am on a crusade this year to make the most of my pretty Stampin’Up! papers and avoid wasting them by random cutting of random sized shapes from them. So how can you make the most of your papers?

When you do your card design think about what the most economical way of cutting up your 6×6 or 12×12 papers would be. The easiest way is to use them as 3×3 or 3×2 inch layers on your cards. I have shared a way to create with 3×3 papers in this post here.

The card for this post was created using a 3×2 inch paper layer. By adding a small sentiment over the top you are still making the paper the star feature of your card. The addition of an embossed layer makes for even more visual features on this card. I do like the new 3D embossing folder Old World Paper. Doesn’t it make a stunning embossed background?

Other products used to create this card are the Stitched Nested Shapes dies, and the sentiment comes from the Best Year stamp set. The card base is the new In Colour Magenta Madness. Of course the pretty paper is from the 6×6 paper stack – Flowers for Every Season.

Go ahead be more economical with your pretty papers and don’t waste them!
