Do you like to colour in colouring books or pictures? It’s a wonderful feeling to get lost in the moment as you colour away, your concentration fully focused on what you are doing. A lovely mindfulness experience. The Peony Garden Designer Series Paper used in the card above is actually a black and white sketch. I had a relaxing time colouring in the background with a Stampin’Blends Seaside Spray pen.
You can see the original appearance of the Peony Garden DSP above. It wasn’t a quick project to get done however it was a lovely past time to complete it.
Sadly I have needed a few sympathy cards lately and my supply was getting depleted so this card became one for the stockpile. It pays to have a supply of sympathy cards as it is such a hard project to do when you actually need one. It’s not like a birthday or anniversary you know ahead of time how many birthdays you have in a coming couple of weeks.
The Seaside Spray metallic ribbon adds a pretty finishing touch to the card. The Prized Peony stamp set which co ordinates with this paper has the appropriate sentiments for sympathy cards. The die used to cut out the sentiment is from the Ornate Frames dies.
Wanting some time out? Then try some colouring. No shading or colour changes needed here just the one colour and it is all background colouring to your hearts content!
