Butterfly Cirlcle Card

Spread the love

Happy New Year to you all! It’s been awhile between posts – basically because life gets very hectic at Christmas/New Year in our household. In a way it is good to have a break from creating, gives you time to reflect on things and get some new ideas. I’d have liked to have had some quiet time for me but here we get the festivities out of the way and then we hit the birthday trail – all 3 offspring celebrate birthdays at this time of the year.

So creativity has to be fired up before the 4th of Jan as that is when DD celebrated her 19th. Here is her birthday card for this year. I’ve had this as an idea since doing the Circle of Friendship card in a recent posting.

I’ve used the new Butterfly Prints set from the summer Mini catalogue as well as the tiny butterfly from the Flight of the Butterfly set in the IB&C. Card used was textured cardstock in Pixie Pink, Pink Passion, Gable Green, Tempting Turquoise and Summer Sun. Punches used were Butterfly and Wide Oval. Circles were done using the Circle Scissors.

DD was suitably impressed and has said it will remain on display in her room for the year. Always know I’ve done a good card when it remains on show long after her birthday!!!!

Now I have to come up with a 21st creation for DS next week……….
