Hi There!
Here is a card we did on the weekend at my classes when we did Paper Piecing. I’ve often looked at this stamp and wondered how I’d colour it in to my satisfaction – but with this technique it makes coming up with a finished product you are pleased with soooo easy!
The stamp set is Voila from Stampin’Up! To create a card using this technique stamp the image onto card and use this as your template to stick your cutout stamped pieces onto. Stamp your image on patterned paper of your choice – I used Walk in the Park Designer series paper here -(It’s from the current Spring Mini catalogue which only has another month to run). Cut out and glue to your stamped image. The chef’s pants were colured using Going Grey ink and the blender pen. The same ink was used to stamp the sentiment and I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig for perfect placement. The edges were sponged using Baja Breeze ink. Vintage black brads added the final touch before mounting onto Baja Breeze card and a trim of scalloped edge black card was added top and bottom. The Basic Grey folded card was stamped with the background stamp Sanded.
A great card for the men in your life – and aren’t masculine cards so difficult to create sometimes!
Remember if there are any of the products used here that you would like to purchase you can do so by placing an order through me as a current Stampin’Up! demonstrator. Please email or give me a call. My details are in my profile on this page.
Have a great day!
Love the paper piecing Janine. I will be CASEing this card for our January stamp clubs. thanks for the inspiration. Simone 🙂
