Hi there! Here is another sneak peek from the upcoming Stampin’Up! 2012 Idea Book & Catalogue. The stamp set is “My Friend”. I received mine free when I attended Managers Reception with Shelli Gardner CEO of Stampin’Up! at our Australian Stampin’Up! Convention back in May. It’s been so hard not being able to share with you the lovely new sets we were given back then – but now I can!
This set reminds me so much of Just Believe and Upsy Daisy from the current catalogue which I love playing with. Good news too these sets are continuing in the 2012 catalogue.
For this card I used a technique which was recently demonstrated on our Demonstrators web page showing how to overstamp your stamped image with shimmer paint. So the initial image was stamped in Soft Suede and then stamped the image on my Stampamajig sheet. Then on my clean stamp I randomly daubed shimmer paint – Precious Platinum for this one, and using the Stampamajig I overstamped the initial image. Looks great doesn’t it?
Cardsock used is Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Early Espresso. Ribbon is Crumbcake taffeta a new colour coming in the new catalogue. I’ve actually dug out my retired Kraft taffeta which is now rebadged as Crumbcake! Certainly pays to hang onto retired products!!!!!
