Well I am on the way back home from our 2012 Stampin’Up! Australian Convention in Canberra. We are spending the night again in Albury as we head home. I had hoped (rather hopefully) to keep you all up to date with the latest happenings and news while there but I did not have a moment to scratch myself! It was busy, busy, busy! So much to see and do for the last 3 days!
Firstly I have a had a terrific road trip with my former Stampin’Up! upline Naomi Swan ( now Paperific CEO) as we have headed up the Hume Highway to Canberra from Melbourne last Tuesday. We overnighted in Albury and finished off our swaps before arriving in Canberra on Wednesday.
Check in at the Waldorf was fun as we greeted so many familiar faces and caught up on their news. My lovely room mate was Julia Quinn from the Sunshine Coast – so good to see her again! We had some terrific times together with Naomi at Convention – stay tuned for photos!
Here are the bag tags I made for my team to attach to their Convention bags to show they were part of my Inksationals team. It was wonderful to meet the newer members of the team and put names to faces. We had 23 Inksational team members at Convention. I will post a fabulous photo of all of us at Awards Night in one of my next posts.
To make the tags I used Stampin’Up! chipboard run through the Big Shot with one of the tags on the Two Tags die. I daubed the chipboard with Platinum Shimmer paint and it gave the chipboard a lovely suede finish. The flowers were done using Flirtatious Designer fabric cut out using Fun flowers die. A matching Designer button sewn on with white Bakers twine and each demonstrators initial done with the Timeless Type Junior Alphabet and Big Shot and my team tags were done!
