After our recent Australian Stampin’Up! Convention I set myself the challenge to make a card a day. So far I have managed to complete my challenge on four out of six days! I allowed myself a couple of days to get my head around everything I saw and learnt at Convention. So I am not doing too badly!
Here is a card I completed using pieces I had made at one of my classes. “UFO’s” is what my stamping pal Chris McLucas calls them. “Unfinished Objects” and isn’t everyones’ desk covered in those!
The bargello piece uses Designer Series paper “Attic Boutique” from the Autumn-Winter mini catalogue.
I used card weight vellum and ran it through the big Shot with a Designer Frame embossing folder for the centre of the card piece. Sentiment is from the stamp set “Thankyou Kindly”. The background stamp is from French Foliage.
Card is Confetti White, Poppy Parade and Soft Suede.
The card was made for Michaela Laurie, of Paper Quilt Creations as a thankyou for the lovely lunch she put on for Naomi and I when we arrived in Canberra last week. Michaela exhibits at Naomi’s Paperific Show and the next show is coming up in August! We had the most delicious soup which both of us have since made on arriving home it was that good!
Here’s to me sticking to my challenge although I am excusing myself from the days I work night duty!
