On the weekend I participated in a virtual craft session for South Pacific Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. We saw a load of amazing ideas and presentations as we crafted along over the three hour craftalong. One of my favourite presentations was the 6×6 paper one sheet wonder cards.

Make four lovely cards using a sheet of 6×6 patterned papers and have the most minimum of waste paper. Everyone who took part or has created since has done something quite different with their card layouts. You can mix the layout for each card from where you position the papers on the card mats to where you place the mats on the card base. Plus whether you orientate your card in portrait or landscape.

I am giving you a sneak peek of the November Early Release Ever Eden Specialty Designer Series Papers, part of the Eden’s Garden Collection. The papers have lovely gold highlights on them. So my card colours have been chosen to compliment the papers, Evening Evergreen as the base cards and Soft Succulent as the mat colours.

Do you see the gorgeous gems? These are also a sneak peek and are part of the Eden’s Garden Collection.

If you would like to create your own 6×6 one sheet wonder cards here are the measurements for the paper and the card mats.

Cut your 6×6 paper as follows-

1-1/2” x 5-7/8”   one piece (discard remaining tiny strip)    Card top right

3” x 3” one piece    Card bottom left

3” x 1” use piece from bottom of above cut piece and cut into 3 pieces    Card top left

1-1/2”x1-1/2” 4 pieces cut from remaining paper strip     Card bottom right

Card mats as follows –

1-3/4” x 5-13/16”      1 piece for Card top right

3-1/4” x 4-1/4”          1 piece for Card bottom left

3-1/4” x 1-1/4”          3 pieces for  Card top left

3-1/4” x 3-1/4”          1 piece for Card bottom right

The card pieces can be all cut from one half sheet of A4 card.

Use punches or dies from your collection to fit the sentiments you want to use on your cards. My sentiments came from Sweet as a Peach stamp set for one card, and the other sentiment s are from the stamp set that came from the Stampin’ Up! card kit – Sentimental Rose.

Have a play with this fun card idea and make a pile of them while your are at it so you always have a card or two on hand for when you need one in a hurry.

Happy Stamping!

Janine
