Well it has been awhile I am sorry between posts. My mojo has been well and truly missing for some time now. It usually happens around the New Year as I get over Christmas and all that it involves. Plus I have come to the conclusion ( and those of you have seen my craft area will probably say I told you so) – I have way too much stuff and looking at it all becomes rather daunting as I sit there wondering where to begin…………………………………………………………. but then on my door step arrives a lovely big brown box from you know who filled with gorgeous new Seasonal catalogue and Sale-a-bration goodies and I can feel the tickle of inspiration happening…….. And guess what?
I made a card!!!!!! And here it is!!!!!!!
I received my copy of the latest Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft magazine today and there were so many layout ideas that I just had to try one of them and see if I could get the creative ideas flowing.
The pinwheels are actually made from a lovely new Sizzlit S die in the new Seasonal catalogue, which is coming your way on February 1st. There were so many lovely goodies in my big brown box but this is one item I really wanted to have a play with. I have to say they were so easy to make and were perfect for the layout I wanted to create.
I have cut the pinwheels from Polka Dot DSP. The black DSP is from the Neutrals Paper Stack both of these are in the main catalogue.
Another sneak peek is the sentiment stamp. It comes in a set of 6 sentiment stamps designed to go with the Pinwheel die. It is a good size as are the birthday and thankyou stamps in the set and they are the perfect size to work with so many of the Stampin’Up! punches. You can see how I used it here with the word window punch.
The black punched piece is the normal size of the word window punch. To create the sentiment punched piece I stamped the sentiment then punched it out lining up the end of the stamped image with the right edge of the punch window. Attach the punched piece to a post it note so as you have something to hang onto then line up the punched image in the punch window and repunch the left end of the stamped image to get your smaller word window punched image.
So here’s hoping the mojo is coming back and will stay around for quite some time!!!!!! There are so many lovely new items in the upcoming Seasonal catalogue and I just have to play with them all!!!!
Loved the look of this card, you have created, so much that I pinned it :-). Must admit I don't know anything about stamping but this looks like the place to be to learn more.
Thanks and keep blogging.
